The city of Luxembourg was founded in 963 CE so there are a LOT of really cool old buildings/ruins all over the place. Surrounding the old city there is a deep gorge which is overlooked by fortifications and the old stone city wall. I was amazed at how clean the city was and how easy it was to find a quiet little enclave without any other tourists... very peaceful. The whole city is basically a beautifully maintained park... no wonder it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site!!!
