I spent 24 hours in a country the world knows as Moldova but inside the borders it’s known as Transnistria/Pridnestrovie. I stayed in Tiraspol, the capital of the autonomous breakaway region that allegedly withholds the values of the Soviet Union. Though starved of anything to do of note that doesn’t include staring at a Lenin statue, I found Tiraspol to be worth the visit, if not just to say I’ve been there.

The pints are nice, the vodka is cheap, what more would you want?
