Moldova's largest Jewish cemetery is a vivid symbol of the legacy of the Holocaust. Before World War Two 60% of Chisinau's population was Jewish. Those who escaped the Holocaust mostly emigrated after the war. Now there simply isn't the population to maintain the cemetary properly.

We visited the cemetery as part of our political tour of Moldova and Transnistria.
