Faro Island is located in the south part of Portugal in Algarve.
The Faro Island, also known as Faro Beach has the access facilitated through a bridge, and can be made either by foot or by car.
An extensive sandy area welcomes the visitor, with sea on one side and the river on the other.
This is a great beach for nautical sports, such as surf and windsurf, among others. With the offering of accommodation and a campsite, this is not the most peaceful and quiet island of the Algarve, but even so, and for those who do not mind to explore other spots and nooks of this island, it is always possible to find idyllic places here.
Colourful fishermen houses, boats, dunes, river, ocean and restaurants with tasty seafood make the Faro Island a great destination for several tastes.

A Ilha de Faro, também conhecida por Praia de Faro, tem o acesso facilitado por uma ponte, não muito grande cujo acesso pode ser feito tanto a pé como de carro.
Uma extensa lingua de areia que nos brinda com o mar de um lado e com a Ria Formosa de outro.
É uma praia muito procurada para desportos naúticos, como surf, windsurf, entre outros. Com a oferta de alojamento e Parque de Campismo, não é a ilha mais tranquila do Algarve, mas mesmo assim e para quem não se importar de explorar outros recantos da ilha, consegue encontrar espaços paradisíacos.
Entre toda a actividade característica do Verão, podemos descobrir as pitorescas casas de pescadores e mariscadores, que entre as dunas e o sapal, emolduram a paisagem.
