Mirandela is famous for its cuisine, particularly the alheiras.
Tua river flow by the border of Vila Real District and Bragança District. It is a tributary of the Douro River. The biggest and most important city it flows through is Mirandela to allow the formation of a vast reflecting pool and a water fountain which has become an ex libris of the city.
The Romanic style bridge is one of city’s main highlights.
