കശ്മീര് നിവാസികളോട് അംഗങ്ങള് സംസാരിക്കും. സന്ദര്ശനം ജമ്മു കശ്മീരുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിഷയങ്ങളില് യൂറോപ്യന് സംഘത്തെ ബോധവാന്മാരാക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷ പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി പ്രതിനിധി സംഘത്തോടൊപ്പം ഫോട്ടോയ്ക്ക് പോസ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ എംപിമാരും കശ്മീര് മുന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും അടക്കമുള്ളവര്ക്ക് പ്രവേശനം നിഷേദിച്ചിടത്ത് യൂറേപ്യന് യൂണിയന് എംപിമാരെ കൊണ്ടുപോവുന്നതിനെതിരെ വ്യാപക പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയര്ന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. കശ്മീരില് വിദേശ ശക്തികള് ഇടപെടേണ്ടതില്ലെന്ന ഇന്ത്യന് നിലപാടിനെ ഒറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കുകയാണ് കേന്ദ്ര സര്ക്കാരെന്നും വിമര്ശനമുണ്ട്. കോണ്ഗ്രസ് നേതാക്കള് മുതല് ബിജെപി രാജ്യസഭാംഗം സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന് സ്വാമി വരെയുള്ളവര് വിമര്ശനവുമായി രംഗത്തെത്തി.
