We walk on the street from DDP Plaza to Dongdaemun, one of Korean relics, via Dongdaemun Pyeonghwa Market in Seoul. The total distance of walk is around 3km, and we complete to walk at Dongdaemun starting from the exit 1 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Subway Station.

DDP is an abbreviation of Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It was opened in Mach, 2014 after the old Dongdaemun Stadium had been demolished in 2007. And it became a multi cultural space with fashion, design, etc. DDP was designed by a professor of Vienna, Zaha Hadid, and constructed by Samsung Corp. The appearance of building was designed to remind a spaceship.

Pyounghwa Market is a traditional market grown as they started to make clothes and sell them with the military uniforms and blankets of U.S. soldiers near the Cheonggye-cheon. Pyounghwa Market which has led the clothes industry of Korea belongs to the Dongdaemun Fashion Town today and is being dealt in clothes.

As the Treasure No. 1 of Korea, Dongdaemun is a castle gate in the east in the era of Joseon Dynasty. It's original name is Heunginji-mun. And it had played a role of a gate in the eastern side of Seoul.
