Krupowki Street took its name from the Krupówki Glade in its main part, belonging to the Krupowski or Krupow families

Funicular derives from the Latin word funiculus, which translates to “rope”. That's what they used to be made from! There were rope cables in the funicular loop system powered by either humans or animals.


Gubałówka is the most famous peak located in the capital of the Polish Tatra Mountains - Zakopane.


Zakopane is a resort town in southern Poland, at the base of the Tatras Mountains. It’s a popular departure point for winter sports and summertime mountain climbing and hiking. Kasprowy Wierch and Gubałówka, reachable by cable car and funicular, are nearby ski destinations offering sweeping mountain views.
