It’s seven years since war broke out in eastern Ukraine between separatists backed by Russia and the Ukrainian government.

More than 13,000 people have been killed and over a million uprooted from their homes.

The conflict has had a devastating impact on elderly people, many of whom were trapped during fighting in the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Reeta Chakrabarti presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Fergal Keane.
