This was a tough one for many reasons...Auschwitz is well known all over the world for the mass extinction of jews and others who were murdered and tourtured in this concentration camp under Adolf Hitlers rule. Auschwitz was one of many camps scattered all over poland and other parts of europe. The loss of life during this time is uncomprehendable. In Auschwitz alone around 1.1 million lost their life. (though there is no offical record so it may be more)

The sadness felt at the camp, a shadow of what happened at this place is felt all around... the loss of life and human brutality is something that none of us could deal with as we walked through. Just as a tourist the feeling was horendous... but we were able to leave :/
