Back in 2017 I took a trip to Ukraine with my friend Al to get tattooed off someone called Dusty Past. It was a bit of a wild experience including interactions with Russian gangsters, far right music festivals, people with whips, and a trip to Chernobyl (before the TV show came out). I came across a bunch of (shakey) footage from the time there, and put it to a track that I had written on the Akai Force. It was a pretty amazing place in lots of ways - and felt like stepping right into the set of a Bond film. In many ways it was the same kind of culture shock I experienced visiting Japan, but in a very different way. I'd like to go back some time.
