Chișinău is the Capital of the Eastern European Republic of Moldova. Amidst blocks of Soviet-era Architecture, one finds landmarks such as the neoclassical Cathedral of the Nativity of the Lord. The domed church is the centerpiece of Chișinău Cathedral Park, a square with a triumphal arch commemorating the victory over the Ozmanian Empire in the 19th century. Ștefan cel Mare Central Park is named after a Moldovan Prince who Resisted Ozmanian Rule
