City walks of Chisinau, April 2026

In April 2026, I spent some time exploring the streets and green spaces of Chișinău, Moldova through a series of relaxed short walks. This video shows a mix of busy streets, quiet corners, parks and urban contrasts.

We pass by the peaceful Ciuflea Monastery, before heading toward the iconic (and long-abandoned) Hotel National — a reminder of Moldova’s Soviet past and present-day transitions. From there, the walk continues into the heart of the city at Parcul Catedralei, where locals gather around the Nativity Cathedral and its bell tower. There was also a folk music festival going on when we visited the park.

We also had a short stop and visit at Chisinau's railway station. It is a beautiful building, but the activity was surprisingly sparse there. Only a few trains come and leave from that station during the week.

Finally, we wander through Ștefan cel Mare Central Park, a favorite meeting place filled with tree-lined paths, monuments, and a relaxed city vibe.

If you enjoy slow travel, urban exploration, and discovering lesser-known European destinations, this video is for you.
