Driving from Galicia to León | Spain

Join us on our travel adventures around Spain! We drive from Galicia to the beautiful city of Leon! We take this scenic drive through Northern Spain, stopping over at various attractions along the way.

After our time exploring Galicia, we continued our road trip across Northern Spain with a final destination in the capital city of Leon (in the province of Leon). Our first stop over was at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Las Médulas.

From here, we explored one of the "pueblos más bonitos de España" or simply, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain: Peñalba de Santiago. Located at the top of mountain switchbacks, the village offers amazing panoramic views of the mountains and the Valley of Silence below.

We then head to Astorga, located at the crossroads of the Camino de Santiago pilgrims’ route and home to one of only three Gaudí creations outside Barcelona: The Bishop’s Palace, also known as the Episcopal Palace.

We finish our drive through the Leon province of Spain with a visit to the capital city of Leon itself. Such a beautiful city!
