▪ Justin Maciejewski ▪ DSO MBE is the Director of the National Army Museum in London, following a 27 year career in the British Army. His last appointment in the British Army was as Director Combat, the professional head of the Royal Armoured Corps and the Infantry. He holds an MA in Defence Studies from Kings College, London and he graduated in History from Cambridge University where he specialised in British Imperial and Military History.
▪ Dr. Elke Gryglewski ▪ is the managing director of the Lower Saxony Memorials Foundation and the Director of the Bergen-Belsen Memorial. She is also the former Deputy Director and Head of the Education Department of the Memorial and Educational Centre of the House of the Wannsee Conference in Berlin and from 2015 – 2020 she was the Deputy Director and head of their educational department. She was also a member of the independent panels on Antisemitism which was established on the basis of the Bundestag resolutions.
▪ Dr. Paweł Ukielski ▪ is a historian and political scientist, between 2014-16, he was the deputy president of IPN, presently, he is the deputy director of the Warsaw Rising Museum.
Moderator: Olga Lebedeva is a PhD student at the University of Warsaw (Poland) and the Team Coordinator of the Eastern Archives in the Department of Archives at the Pilecki Institute. In her PhD paper, she analyzes the memory of the communist period in the post-Soviet and post-Yugoslavian countries based on the museum exhibitions. She is also the author of articles about memory in museums in ex-communist countries.
