The heartthrob of medieval culture - Kraków is simply an eye-pleaser, wherever you go, whatever you do. Every part of the city is so beautifully constructed/restored that its richness can not go unapplauded. A 2 hrs drive from Kraków, there lies Zakopane, on the foot of Tatra mountains, which can undoubtedly be compared to the beauties of Switzerland, but with almost a quarter of the cost. The largest lake, Morksie Oko, is just a masterpiece of nature.
PS - I must mention the food in Poland is super delicious(and big portions) and yet amazingly light on the pocket.
