In this Thailand Vlog, we explore Phuket on our own after leaving the group. Whist on the sandbox programme, we had to get another covid test before we were able to move hotels. This time we go to the Crest resort to a beautiful pool villa with incredible views. It's the first time we got to try the instagramable floating breakfast and test out its practicality. We were able to rent a bike to explore the island, going to Karon beach, Karon viewpoint and Promthep Cape. We then headed to Patong beach where we saw the unfortunate reality of the effect Covid has had on the Thai people. A once thriving area has had to shut down. For an island that relies so heavily on tourism, we hope that the sandbox program is a success for the Thai people and we get back to normality soon.
