In this video we show you a little bit of the Hierapolis an ancient city that was basically built to take advantage of the thermal waters way before the romans but most of the ruins and artefacts founded there lead to the romans.

After exploring a little bit of the ruins we headed to the white terraces that are mostly referred to Pamukkale but in fact the whole area is called Pamukkale, the reason people call Pamukkale to the pools it's because it means cotton castle in English.
The reason the terraces are white is because of the travertine, a sedimentary rock, formed by the precipitation of carbonate minerals from solution in ground and surface waters, or geothermally heated hot-springs, so basically the thermal water contains a mineral that once in contact with oxygen it hardens and creates the white terraces, the "cotton castle".
