Malaysian documentary filmmakers were given the chance to tour Iran's cultural and natural wonders in order to produce a documentary film, according to the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts & Tourism (mcth.ir).
On the 24th of February, a team of Malaysian documentarians landed in Iran. Tehran, Isfahan, and Fars provinces will be visited by the delegation till March 10.
The trip was arranged by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism's Office of Tourism Marketing and Advertising to help establish culinary tourism in Iran and to promote Iranian goods.
The ministry offers a session on carpet and fabric weaving to the Malaysian documentary filmmakers who want to learn more about Iran's handicraft potential.
Documentary filmmakers based in Kuala Lumpur plan to go to several towns in the aforementioned areas to record Iranian daily life.
Persepolis, Naqsh-e Rostam, Pasargad (the Achaemenid Empire's initial capital), and Naqsh-e Jahan Square will all be visited by Malaysian tourists, along with Tehran's traditional market and the world-famous Golestan Palace.
In the holy month of Ramadan, a documentary film on Iran will be shown on ASTRO and other Southeast Asian television networks.
As the country celebrates its national day, Iran's Kuala Lumpur embassy made this statement: "We are committed to expanding cooperation with Malaysia, notably in the tourist sector," it reads.
