Puteri Indonesia for Tourism 2020 Jihane Almira Chedid is ready to represent Indonesia at the long-awaited global beauty pageant Miss Supranational 2021.
After a pandemic-related postponement, the Grand Finale will finally take place at Parku Strzelecki Amphitheater in Nowy Sacz, Poland, on August 21. Jihane will soon fly off to Poland, where she will first undergo the Miss Supranational quarantine.
Jihane will adorn an array of stunning dresses at the annual pageant. Her national costume —“The Dashing of Equus Caballus"— is bound to turn heads at the competition. Designed by Levico Butik and Eggie Jasmin Artisan Couture, the attire takes inspiration from the uniqueness and valor of East Nusa Tenggara’s iconic Sumba sandalwood pony horses. The horse's racing power is said to surpass other horses in the archipelago.
Young Indonesian designer Monica Ivena is also designing Jihane's evening gown for the preliminary. As for the Grand Finale, Jihan will parade the stage in a dress by Anaz.
Prior to her departure to Poland, Jihane received coaching from Puteri Indonesia Foundation and beauty product giant Mustika Ratu to become an all-rounded pageant contestant. Jihane was taught on public speaking, English skills, catwalk, and many more. She was also pampered at the Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa for both her inner and outer beauty.
"The Mustika Ratu professional makeup artist team also taught me how to do makeup and hairdo all by myself with the Mustika Ratu Beauty Queen series. I would like to thank Mustika Ratu and Puteri Indonesia for their support,” Jihane said.
