Kładka Bernatka is the first pedestrian-only bridge that spans over the Vistula river in Kraków.

Bridging the historical Jewish Quarter with the Austrian-themed Podgórze district, Kładka quickly became a hip place visited by countless tourists, lovers and nighttime party-goers.

Soon after opening, Kładka took the role of Paris' Pont d'arts as couples gladly contributed to its weight by adding padlocks with their initials. Polish sculptor, Jerzy Kędziora, also added something from himself and donated several of his perfectly balanced sculptures that now endlessly swing under the main beam, much to passersby's amusement.
