Welcome to Vilnius, Lithuania, join me for a quick look at some of the main highlights of this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as the "Rome of the North" and by Napoleon the "Jerusalem of the North".
You decide, spend your time in Uzupis, one of the smallest districts of Vilnius and packs quite a punch, is well worth the visit, climb the Gediminas Castle tower for a view of the surrounding area including the river, or ascend the historic belltower for a birds eye 360 degree view of the city (in the clip).
There is so much to see and do in Vilnius including the former Jewish neighbourhood now known as The Glass Quarter and home to a wide variety of artisans, Stroll the Literatai Street, believed to be named after Adam Mickiewicz who once lived here, or brush up on your Polish Lithuanian history with a visit to The Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, while in the area vist the St Casimir Chapel, resting place of the patron saint of Poland and Lithuania.
