Łódź, the crazy city

We spent a day in Lodz, both on foot and on bikes. The whole time there was something extraordinary to see. The noise of the street, the interesting individuals, the mix of historic, soviet and modern buildings, the art pieces and unique projects all make this city unforgettable. Regretfully, as soon as you leave the center, the Piotrkowska street, one of the longest commercial thoroughfares in Europe, with a length of around 4.2 km, you are met with streets full of potholes and crumbling facades of buildings. However, even there you can find an occasional gem.
The Manufactura center is like from another universe. A super-modern and well groomed huge complex of shopping malls and other services. You cross one gate and immediately forget that you are in one of the poorest regions in Poland.
