Valldemossa is a beautiful town located in the western part of Mallorca in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. It is 19 km north of Palma. Valdemossa has its own unique charm and is closely related to the life and work of Fryderyk Chopin.

At first, the French writer and the Polish composer were friends, later their relationship turned into an affair. They lived together in Valdemossa for several months, living in a monastery located in the heart of the town.
