Although widely used, “Gypsy” is actually a derogatory term. The appropriate name for this ethnic group is “Romani” or “Roma”. However the Gypsy Baron I met in Moldova said he personally was not offended by it. He told me about the history of his people and gave me a tour around pretentiously looking houses of the locals. I also learnt about the culture of Roms and their SHOCKING traditions.
