OPEN for Business During Covid-19 (Poland)

Stage 3 of Unfreezing Poland- Restaurants, salons and sports facilities are opening up their doors to the public this week (May 18th, 2020), and I for one couldn’t be happier!

While there are strict rules in place (I.e. 1 person per 4 square meters of space and 2 meters between tables which must be disinfected between customers; staff must wear masks and gloves, but patrons do not have to), I think getting the economy back open is also extremely important.

In this video I venture out, with my husband to one of our favorite restaurants, Maka i Woda, in downtown Warsaw. They seriously have one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had…the dough is perfectly chewy with a little bit of ‘crisp’! Sooo delish! It’s a must-try the next time you visit Warsaw.

The vibe was totally different…there’s still a lingering feel of fear in the air, yet at the same time I could tell the employees and few other patrons were all EXCITED to be out in a communal setting. These past 2 months have really shown me how important human connection and community really are!

With all the media coverage on the Coronavirus topic I think the mental implications of the “Covid-19 Pandemic” will outlast the physical symptoms. Even if I haven’t left the apartment for days I sometimes find myself excessively washing my hands. I can’t help but watch as my fellow Americans seem to be completely divided on how to handle this uncharted territory. I guess time will tell how we all falter.

As always be safe!

Peace + Love,
Tatia
