Poland - Ep 3 - Auschwitz

In the 3rd episode of our Poland series, we visit the museum and memorial of Auschwitz. Auschwitz is situated just over an hour away from Krakow.

This has been an extremely difficult video to make, as not only is this a sensitive and hard hitting subject, we have had a really bad week personally. This may not have been the best possible work we wanted but in a way we just kind of wanted it finished

The tour takes us around 2 camps, firstly Camp 1 at Oświęcim which is the main part of the tour, housing the museum. Thousands of artifacts are held here that were discovered and recovered following the Russian liberation.

You learn about the formation of the camp and the atrocities that occurred here.

At camp 2, you get to see the grand scale of the working, or extermination, camp. Famous for the "Gate of Death", the infamous photo of where the trains used to bring the prisoners for selection.

A truly harrowing but fascinating tour that everyone should see.
