Thousands of right-wing activists marched through central Warsaw on Thursday to mark 75 years since the uprising against Nazi Germany. They were met with counter-protests.
Footage shows a LGBTIQ flag being taken away from a building on the way of the march. Right-wing activists were seen carrying nationalist symbols and a banner equating LGBTIQ to communism and Nazism. They lit flares at 5pm - the exact time when the Warsaw uprising began on August 1 in 1944.
Police officers were seen detaining opponents of the rally near the monument to the Warsaw Uprising.
