President Xi called for the two sides to respect and accommodate each other's core interests and major concerns, step up communication on major international issues, firmly uphold the international system and basic norms governing international relations, and safeguard the common interests of all members of the international community.

Polish President Duda said he always remembers the "Winter Olympics appointment" President Xi Jinping made to him during a state visit to Poland five years ago. President Duda said he is very happy to be able to overcome difficulties and come to China as appointed and share with the Chinese people a wonderful opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, celebrating the historic moment of Beijing becoming the first city to host both Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

President Duda said China and Poland have witnessed a sound development of comprehensive strategic partnership in all areas. He thanked China for providing medical supplies to Poland in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
