School of The Arts would like to welcome you to our ResearchIN webinar series titled Design for Fabrication: (un)Successful Story about the Development of a Common Language between the Future Designers and Engineers with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marcin Zbiec and moderated by Mr. Ahmad Fairuz Ariff. Today, we will be discussing the experiment of creating an innovative furniture design workshop for students that include both future designers and engineers by focusing not only on design but also on manufacturing & fabrication aspects. This presentation will discuss the issues when design and technology students worked together in implementing designs, develop innovation in products, methods, or services. On top of that, it will also discuss the empowerment of future designers and producers in their work process through first-hand experience and the needs of preparing both designer-technologist and/or teams - ready to join the industry.
