Russia has put its newest anti-aircraft missile defence system S-500 ‘Prometheus’ into mass production. The production of the S-500 missile defence system has reportedly been increased owing to boiling tensions over Ukraine. The S-500 was developed by the Almaz-Antey Air Defence Concern to replace aging A-135 missile systems currently in use.
