I dream of one day being able to retire to my favorite place on Earth - Pitlochry, Scotland. Join me on my journey through Scotland and see just a few of the unbelievable things I experienced while I was in this beautiful country. Mountains, ocean, glens, cliffs, castles, lochs, music, dancing, games, .... there is SO much to see and do for those who are lucky enough to spend time here!

Among the first things I saw upon arriving in Glasgow after disembarking the ferry that brought me over the Irish Sea from Glasgow was a man in a kilt playing bagpipes! At the Kelvingrove Museum, I got to see a painting by my favorite artist William Hogarth, along with some amazing pieces of ancient pottery and artifacts. I toured many more castles than I included in this video, and enjoyed attending a Ceilidh - a traditional Scottish social gathering for friends and family with food, drink, music and dancing. (... and ... the group I was with voted for me to be the one to drive a standard transmission rental car while in Inverness - because I was born left-handed... THAT was an adventure all its own!) Some of the other experiences I had included: trying the traditional Scottish dish Haggis (I LIKED it!), viewing the Aurora Borealis “live” my first and only time, seeing the Honours of Scotland (Scottish Crown Jewels) at Edinburgh Castle, and the famed St. Andrew’s Golf Course, and taking a charter boat out onto Loch Ness in search of Nessie – and MORE.

I encourage you to plan a trip to experience Scotland for yourself if you're able! You'll see magnificent things, hear amazing stories, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
