The statistics speak for themselves... 60,000 prostitutes; 2,500 street children, making it a hub for child pornography; a third of the population in poverty; one of the fastest growing HIV rates in the world; and drug and alcohol abuse rates amongst the highest in eastern Europe.

Video journalist Nick Lazaredes has been investigating Ukraine's underworld and the social problems it's causing. He also meets the people trying to stop the sex trade in the face of violence and lack of interest from the authorities.
