Technical fault halts Polish railways, a key exit route for refugees

Refugees fleeing Ukraine to neighbouring Poland have been affected by a widespread railway outage. About 80% of rail traffic in Poland -- or about 820 kilometres of track -- has been affected by a traffic control system outage. According to the UN, more than three million people have fled Ukraine, and over 1.8 million Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Poland.
