Hello and welcome to another episode of ‘Where The East Begins’! In this episode I will take the last Soviet train in Europe from Romania to Moldova, my 42nd country.

This train was sooo cool… and surprisingly comfortable. I love old Soviet stuff, I’m a big history guy. So being able to experience this made me feel so grateful.

I got on in Iasi, Romania and ended up (8 hours later) in Chisinau, Moldova. It had been a long time since I visited a new country, so I was extra excited. To keep it short, I loved Chisinau and Moldova. I guess I’ve watched too much Bald & Bankrupt content haha.

It’s a city full of life, green, and peace. It has a lot of trendy cafes, but also old Soviet bars, everything that I want in a city!

On the train I met some nice people and together we went on a free walking tour, which was also very fun. If you want to do the same tour, go to freetour. com and look for Chisinau tours with Anastasia Creciun, she was wonderful!

Thanks again for watching, it means a lot to me! Two more episode to go… Next episode I will explore the “country” that is Transnistria.

See you next episode.
