In the Polish resort city Świnoujście this pristine forest close to the famous landmark Stawa Młyny was was cut down for the benefit of developers. Another sad case about how greed and mass tourism is changing the landscape for the worse in many picturesque places around the world.

Is it sustainable tourism to cut down trees and green areas in order to build concrete paths and stalls selling beer and sausages? I sincerely hope that the people and politicians in Świnoujście will start thinking about what kind of city and tourists they want in the future. Once the forest and green areas are gone they will never come back.

Stawa Młyny is visible in the background in the first seconds. Read more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stawa_M%C5%82yny
