This one is special. We're in Cismichioi, my home village in Gagauzia, the deep south of Moldova. A place most travelers never see, and honestly, that's what makes it real.

We walk through the village on our way to catch the bus back to Chisinau. Poppy fields moving in the wind, the local school, the daycare, quiet streets, and that small village pace of life you can't fake. Also a slightly stressful sprint to the bus station because missing it would ruin the whole plan.

Along the way we talk about how summers in Moldova keep getting hotter, the floods that hit just days before, and we even grab a beer.
