„Belmontas“ yra pramogų ir poilsio centras netoli nuo Vilniaus centro.
Belmontas (originally Belmont) is a suburb of Vilnius. It is located in the area of Rasos, on the right bank of Vilnia River, to the east of Užupis.
Originally a clearing in the woods surrounding the city of Vilna, it belonged to the municipal artillery units, along with the nearby cannon foundry (modern Pūčkoriai). In the 19th century a French emigrant built a flour mill on the spot and named it Belmont, possibly after one of several locations named Belmont in France. Abandoned, the mill was rebuilt in the early 2000s as a tourist attraction, a restaurant and a hotel.
Entertainment & Leisure Center “Belmontas”
The French (Belmont) mill was built in 1838 and stopped working only in the middle of the 20th century. Since then it was idle and slowly dying...
The renovation of this unique complex started in 2001.
An idea of restoration was based on the great respect to the remaining relicts of our history and the amazing landscape of surroundings of Vilnius town.
All authentic buildings and their parts were thoroughly preserved and restored, lost parts and elements were rebuilt maximally adapting the current designation to planned and spatial structures of the old mill buildings.
The later buildings of this area were reconstructed providing the ethnographic and regional character to their external architecture and interiors. While the new buildings harmoniously match with whole complex of buildings of the 19th century.
Neat surroundings, restored buildings and interiors of the halls enriched with ethnographic and antique pieces and furniture demonstrate some features of a lifestyle of people of Lithuania in the 19th century, their enjoyments and tastes. Thus, visiting this place, you can not only relax, enjoy a meal or entertain, but also get acquainted with various collections – from hunting trophies to antique works of authors of applied arts.
Currently there are 10 highest level banquet halls of various purpose and size in the Entertainment & Leisure Center “Belmontas“ accommodating from 20 to 1000 guests.
