Vilnius Lithuania Day 1 | Travel Hacks | Exploring the Crypts

Lithuania Old Town is considered a UNESCO Heritage site since 1994 and the crown jewel of the city is the Vilnius Cathedral. Inside it is rumored you can find a piece of the Shroud of Turin, as well as Crypts dating back to the 15th century. There are tales of love, loss, poison, and a sinking foundation that was saved. Out of the 27 crypts under Vilnius Cathedral, there are still 7 that they have yet to investigate and explore, including a mass grave (other mass graves in the area also had people with smallpox in them, so we will see how that goes) - they are still hoping they will find the Great King Vytatus and restore him to the Sarcophagi made for his remains way back in 1930.

Hi! Welcome to the Culture Trekking Community! My name is Janiel Green, a Physician Assistant, Scuba Diver, Dog lover, Photographer, and Videographer! I love to make people smile, am known for not beating around the bush (unless it is in my garden). I also tend to say it as I see it before my brain can tell me it's probably not socially acceptable to do so. My spirit animal is a Sea Turtle, I hate mushrooms, and don’t trust a man who lays on the romance too thick.

I love to travel the world, connect with different cultures, and find sustainable adventure. I have explored the most off the beaten path places, and cultures throughout the world.

With over a decade of professional photography experience, and a self-taught videographer and editor. I also want to teach you a few tricks of the trade to make better travel videos, and take better travel photos - even if you are a solo traveler.

I’m so excited to have you here! Be sure to subscribe to your social media channel of choice right here & see you soon!
