This was supposed to be my first upload from Lithuania, but it got side-tracked! This was walking out for the first time from the Air BnB, down the main street in central Vilnius called Gedimino Avenue, through the central park and down to the Neris River.

Gedimino is the main street for Government institutions and for socialising as well, lots of bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants either on it or running off little side streets. Nice big Cathedral and Park at one end and lot of public transport to hop on.

For me central Vilnius was very clean and well laid out and had all the modern amenities you need, an mix of old and new, but a little quiet and too laid back for me. I am not saying that its a bad thing, just felt a little sterile and very very relaxed. So would be a good place to go for someone looking for peace and quiet and ready to retire!
