St. Marii Magdaleny - a square located in the Old Town of Krakow , between Grodzka and Kanonicza Streets , in the center of the former Okół . It has an area of 997 m².

The building of the Collegium Iuridicum (No. 1), housing the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University , adjoins the square from the north , and the Malarnia tenement house (No. 2), formerly known as Zerwikaptur, which houses the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Krakow, and the Cervantes Institute in the south . . On the eastern side, on the other side of Grodzka Street, there are two churches: St. Andrew and St. Peter and Paul , on the west side there is a historic tenement house Kanonicza 9 , which houses several institutes of the Pontifical University of John Paul II .

The name of the square comes from the church of St. Mary Magdalene , who used to be here. A tenement house that does not exist at that time was adjacent to the Collegium, and a church next to it, probably built in the 13th century; after a fire in the 15th century, it was rebuilt. In the 17th century it was baroqueized, and finally demolished in 1811. Currently, the outline of the church is shown on the surface of the square.

In the middle stands a monument to Peter Complaints chisel Czeslaw Dźwigaj , unveiled in 2001. Its setting has become the subject of numerous controversies and protests. Apart from the monument, there is a small stone fountain in the square, made in 1996 according to the design of Józef Białasik and Michał Szymański.

In summer, the square is a place where young skaters and skateboarders ride .
