Ostrava in the north-east Czech Republic is located near the border to Poland - the Moravia and Silesia region.
We start this walk at the New Town Hall - built in 1930 - with some current art installation and walk from there into the historical centre. There in the centre we see the Masaryk Square (Czech: Masarykovo náměstí) and walk around until we head to Stodolní street. This street is busy on weekends with many bars yet quiet during the week. Tourists from nearby Poland visit this place sometimes to party.
We end this walking tour near the train station Stodolni.
Ostrava is a rather quiet and mostly industrial city which gets few tourists. As a transportation hub between Olomouc and Katowice it has many connections between the Czech Republic and Poland.
Thanks for watching.
