Interested in things to do in Warsaw in 48 hours? Join us as we take you on a Warsaw city tour. Even if you only have 48 hours in Warsaw Poland, you can still see plenty of the sights and try delicious Polish food.

We started our walking tour of Warsaw by visiting the Old Town. The Old Town in Warsaw is full of cobblestone streets and medieval buildings. The buildings had to be reconstructed because they were destroyed during WWII. We enjoyed wandering around the Old Town streets and looking into the windows of the shops and cafes.

Our first stop of the day in Warsaw's Old Town was getting coffee at Kamiarnia Nowomiejska. It is a cozy coffee shop that serves great coffee and hot chocolate. From the coffee shop, we were caffeinated and ready for more walking. We wandered toward the Warsaw Barbican.

The Warsaw Barbican is the remaining part of the medieval defense walls that once served to protect the city. It is now a bridge that connects the old city with the new city. When we walked through, there were a few artists selling their work. Near the Barbican gates on Podwale Street, we found Mały Powstaniec, The Little Insurgent Monument.

The Little Insurgent Monument is dedicated to the child soldiers that lost their lives during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. After walking, we worked up an appetite, so we headed out on a quest to try Polish food. We ended up at Gosciniec.

Gosciniec serves traditional Polish food. We tried both the boiled dumplings and fried dumplings. We chose to mix and match our 8 pierogi so we could try a variety of different fillings. We ate at both of their locations. The first day we ate in the Old Town location and the second day we ate at the Nowy Świat location. After lunch the weather got really bad, so we headed back to the Airbnb.

On our second day, we continued our walking tour of Warsaw. We explored the Old Town Market Square (Rynek Starego Miasta) at the center of the Old Town. When we visited, there was an ice skating rink in the center of the square. Around the rink was a variety of small stalls selling mulled wine and hot chocolate. Next we made our way to one of the main streets in Warsaw, Nowy Świat.

Along Nowy Świat, we came across a couple of Chopin benches. These musical benches are placed throughout Warsaw in places that Frederic Chopin spent time. Chopin was a famous Polish composer, so the benches play his music.

As we wandered further, we came upon the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. This building is the residence of the president of the Republic of Poland. The Warsaw Pact was signed in the Presidential Palace in 1955. When we visited, there was a heavy media presence because the US Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin was there. Continuing along, we then arrived at the Church of Holy Cross.

Holy Cross Church in Warsaw is a Catholic church. This church contains the heart of Chopin in one of the pillars. Very close to the church is the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument.

The monument features a bronze statue of the famous Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. He proposed that the planets orbit around the sun. There is also a bronze replica of Copernicus' Solar System around the statue of him. Our final stop along Nowy Świat was at A. Blickle.

This cafe has been serving up a variety of desserts in Warsaw since 1869. I tried their Pączki. It's a Polish doughnut filled with rose jam and sprinkled with orange peel.

Our last stop of the Warsaw City Tour was at Jabeerwocky Craft Beer Pub. Jabeerwocky Warszawa has 17 taps with craft beer. We tried a cider and a lager.

We hope you enjoyed our tour of Warsaw!
