WROCŁAW POLAND - DWARF HUNT!

Wrocław (pronounced VROTS-WAV) is a beautiful city in Poland, and the home of some 350+ dwarf statues, depicting scenes of everyday life

WHEN DID THEY FIRST APPEAR IN WROCŁAW?
In the 1980s an anti-communist underground protest movement began in Wrocław. Dwarf graffiti began to appear on walls and over government posters, as a peaceful protest against the Soviet regime in the USSR and its influence over the Polish government.

In 2001, 10 years after the fall of the USSR, the first dwarf statue appeared on the streets of Wrocław and now there are 350+ to be found in the city. We'd seen our first one in Lviv, aptly named The Wrocław Dwarf, and it was such a great game to see how many we could see in their home city.

Check out our video... there isn't a lot of talking! It mainly shows each and every one of these brilliant statues that we found!

ACTUALLY - there was one up a lamp post that I didn't get a photo of... all the more reason to go back to that beautiful city!
