Our day trip in Camilo Beach Algarve - Conhecer Portugal - Parrot Anafi - Portugal 2018

Praia do Camilo, western Algarve. This blue-flag beach and the neighbouring Praia da Dona Ana (where there are cave tours by boat) grace many a postcard of the Algarve. Admire the magnificent rocks, some rising 70ft from the Atlantic, and the spectacular shoreline of the Costa d’Oiro (golden coast) and explore the coves and grottoes.

The Algarve is the southernmost region of continental Portugal.

Tourism and related activities are extensive and make up the bulk of the Algarve's summer economy. Production of food, which includes fish and other seafood, different types of fruit such as oranges, figs, plums, carob beans, and almonds, is also economically important in the region. Although Lisbon surpasses the Algarve in terms of tourism revenue, the Algarve is still, overall, considered to be the biggest and most important Portuguese tourist region, having received an estimated total of 7.1 million tourists in 2017.

Its population triples in the peak holiday season due to seasonal residents. The Algarve is also increasingly sought after, mostly by central and northern Europeans, as a permanent place to settle. A 2016 American-based study concluded that the Algarve was the world's best place to retire.

A Praia do Camilo é uma praia portuguesa, localizada na região do Algarve, município de Lagos (Portugal). De pequena dimensão, fica entre falésias, com interessantes formações rochosas. O acesso à praia é feito por uma longa escadaria.

Fica na zona conhecida por Costa D' Oiro, nome devido à cor amarela/dourada das rochas que envolvem esta praia e que é a maior de entre as várias praias de beleza única, protegidas do vento e de águas calmas e límpidas, localizadas entre o porto da cidade até ao farol da Ponta da Piedade.

A proximidade de Lagos torna-a concorrida no verão. As rochas, no areal, proporcionam sombra aos visitantes. O mar é calmo e os banhistas costumam nadar até à base das falésias e das rochas pontiagudas que despontam da água.

O Algarve é uma região, sub-região e província histórica (ou região natural) de Portugal, sendo a mais meridional entre todas. Constitui a região turística mais importante de Portugal e uma das mais importantes da Europa.

O seu clima temperado mediterrânico, caracterizado por invernos amenos e curtos e verões longos, quentes e secos, as águas tépidas e calmas que banham a sua costa sul, as suas paisagens naturais, o património histórico e etnográfico e a deliciosa e saudável gastronomia são atributos que atraem milhões de turistas nacionais e estrangeiros todos os anos e que fazem do Algarve a região mais visitada e uma das mais desenvolvidas do país.
