JUNE 2021 Alvor is a lovely fishing village and is a popular tourist destination in the Algarve with its beautiful beach

We decided to walk there from Portimão and explore, now that everything had reopened after the winter season.

We walked the back way along a quiet country road and saw our first sheep in the Algarve!

In Alvor we:

visited the beautiful church
went to the municipal market
checked out the different menus
walked along the impressive boardwalk
went swimming at the lovely Praia de Alvor
bought pasteis de nata

and ate delicious mackerel and sardines at a popular Alvor restaurant
