Un nuevo Convenio transfronterizo de la Eurorregión Algarve-Alentejo-Andalucía tiene como objetivo aprovechar todas las oportunidades de futuro que están al alcance y supondrá un importante impulso económico. Así lo ha destacado el presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, durante la firma del mismo, junto al presidente de la Comisión de Coordinación y Desarrollo Regional del Algarve, José Apolinário Nunes, y con el presidente de la Comisión del Alentejo, António Ceia da Silva.
En este sentido, será clave la lucha contra el cambio climático gracias al impulso de la transición hacia energías renovables y al aumento de eficiencia energética. Por ello, Moreno ha defendido la cooperación entre las regiones.
En el acto, que ha contado con la presencia de la ministra de Cohesión Territorial del Gobierno de Portugal, Ana Abrunhosa, el presidente de la Junta ha reivindicado el proceso de integración europea y la cooperación al hilo de la invasión rusa de Ucrania.
