Pope Benedict XVI, 93, made a trip out of Italy to his native Germany yesterday to visit his ailing 96-year-old brother Reverend Georg Ratzinger in Regensburg. German Special Police forces also arrived to the scene to ensure the area was secure as Benedict was escorted to this brother. Georg was drafted to the Nazi Germany armed forces during World War II. In 1944, he survived being shot in the arm during a firefight in Italy.
