The best way to explore the Portugal cliffs is by hiking. You can hike from Praia da Luz to Porto de Mos and it only takes 1.5 hours.

The trail starts East of Praia da Luz and the views are incredible. This trail is also great for running, mountain biking, and is even great for overnight camping.
