How to Apply for a Spanish Student Visa | Auxiliare de Conversación

Are you applying for your Spanish Student Visa to work as an Auxiliare de Conversación in Spain?

I provide a complete rundown of the Application for National Visa Form showing exactly what is required to be written and recorded.

I thoroughly explain what you will need to provide to the Spanish Consulate when applying for your Student Visa.

I also go through what is required if you are applying for your children under the age of 18.

Spanish Consulates worldwide will have different requirements for the Spanish Student Visa Application, and this video covers the Sydney Spanish Consulate. BUT, please feel free to watch and grab an insight into the process in general and know that it does not need to be a stressful event.

How to Fill Out the Application for National Visa:
1. Last name
2. Previous last name - (for example: a maiden name)
3. First name
4. Date of birth
5. Place of birth (city)
6. Country of birth
7. Current Nationality and/or Nationality at birth
8. Sex
9. Marital status
10. Not required if you are over 18, but if you have children under the age of 18 you will need to complete this
11. Only complete this if you are a Spanish citizen/resident
12. Ordinary passport
13. Passport number
14. Date passport was issued
15. Passport expiration date
16. Issuing department (Our visa was issued in Australia and so we wrote 'Australia', but if you are American, this is US Department of State)
17. Your current address, email address, and phone number
18. Only complete this if you are not a citizen of the country you're applying for your visa in
19. Current profession/job (only put student here if you're actually a student at the time of application)
20. Studies - this is what shows the Spanish Government you are applying for a Student Visa
21. October 1st or the date of your flight if it is earlier.
22. More than 2/multiple
23. We were told to place the name of the city that we were moving to, in our case this is Madrid and it was acceptable. You may also write the address of the hotel/hostel/airbnb if booked, or the address of your school
24. NIE if you have one (applies to people who have lived in Spain with a residence card in the past). If you're a first year, leave this blank
25. Date NIE/TIE issued by extranjeria, if applicable. If you can't remember leave it blank, it doesn't matter
26. Doesn't apply to you, so leave this blank
27. Doesn't apply to you, so leave this blank
28. This information comes from your Carta de Nombramiento: Name of your school, address of your school, email address of your school, phone number of your school. The start date is October 1st for ministry and the end date is June 30th for Madrid, or May 31st for areas such as Murcia

Spanish Student Visa Requirements - Sydney Australia:
1. Completed Application Form
2. Passport size photo on a white background
3. Passport that will not expire while you are in Spain
4. Photocopy of passport details page
5. Carta de Nombramiento
6. Proof of funds to cover your stay in Spain
7. Return flights, one a one way flight with funds to cover a return flight
8. Travel insurance
9. Medical insurance
10. National Police and Fingerprint Check
11. Police Clearance Check if you have lived as a resident in another country in the last 5 years
12. Visa Application Fee

Children under the age of 18 - Sydney Australia:
1. Statutory Declaration
2. Passport that will not expire while they are in Spain
3. Photocopy of passport details page
4. Birth Certificate
5. Birth Certificate of parent/s
6. Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
7. Photocopy of passport detail page and driver's licence on one A4 piece of paper and signed by a Justice of the Peace.
8. Visa Application Fee
